Our productions do not just rely on a hard working talented cast along with professional, experienced direction but on the hard work, skills and experience of the hidden heroes backstage!
Our stage crew led by Alan and Terry are those guys in black that lurk about backstage moving scenery on and off, mostly in the dark but just occasionally in the spotlight 😉

Our props team led by Elaine and Diane, who source, organise and bring on and off stage all those props that add the detail to scenes…mostly found at the props table at the back of the stage!

Our Green room team, led by Katie and the social committee who supply the drinks, snacks, cake and cookies to keep cast and crew fed and refreshed for the stage…..

And our stage manager, who leads the stage crew, calls the cast and pulls the various backstage teams together to make sure things happen in the right place at the right time.

This September we had a new deputy stage manager for legally blonde – Phillip Spurgeon. This was a real baptism of fire as he joined on the most technical show we have produced to date but he rose to the occasion and all cast and crew welcomed his friendly and professional sounding PA announcements as his cabin crew training and experience shone through! Well done Phil and we hope you continue to be involved backstage in future productions.
Fancy joining Phil so he’s not the only new guy (or gal)?
Now our productions are becoming more technical our backstage crew would like to expand and recruit some new members. Have you got skills and/or interests in sound, lighting, props, costumes and stage management? Would you like the experience of working backstage and learning more about what it takes to put on a Musical Theatre production? If you are willing to volunteer some time during the runs of our shows (in particular our upcoming production of Sister in January 2016) please get in touch via the contact us page.
