In 2020 we introduced the Dani Fincham performers award for outstanding contribution to the Society for active performing members and the Jim Bowman technical award for outstanding contribution to the Society behind the scenes.
These awards were set up to honour the lives of Dani Fincham and Jim Bowman and the contribution they made to the Society in their lifetimes.
These awards give us an opportunity to celebrate our members and the contributions and commitment they have to the Society. Members make their own nominations and the Executive Committee decides which nominee is presented with each award based on the nominations and their knowledge of the individuals nominated. The awards are presented at our AGM in June. The winner gets a keepsake personalised medal and has custody of the main award for the year.
