The Backbone of Every Great Production
Our productions do not rely solely on a hardworking, talented cast and professional, experienced direction but also on the hard work, skills, and experience of the hidden heroes backstage!

Stage Crew
They lurk backstage moving scenery on and off, mostly in the dark but just occasionally in the spotlight. Whether they’re swiftly moving scenery in the dark or stepping into the spotlight for a quick scene change, their work is just as thrilling and essential as performing on stage. It’s a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills, be part of a tight-knit team, and experience the rush of live performance! If you love the theatre but prefer to work behind the curtain, this is the perfect way to get involved.

Deputy Stage Manager (DSM)
The central hub of a production, ensuring everything runs seamlessly during rehearsals and performances. They are responsible for calling the cast to their positions and cueing lights, sound, and scenery changes, making sure every technical element happens at the exact right moment. With a script in hand and a headset connecting them to the crew, the DSM keeps the show on track, coordinating between performers, technicians, and the backstage team to bring the production to life.

Props Team
From sourcing, organizing, and preparing props to ensuring they’re in place at the right moment, their work is crucial in creating the atmosphere and enhancing the storytelling. This role is not just about handling items; it’s about getting creative and finding unique solutions to bring characters’ environments into the real world. Joining the Props Team is an exciting opportunity to learn about the behind-the-scenes process.
